Cuartin

The Cuartin , or Cortin, was a Spanish measure of volume in Mallorca . The measure was intended for wine and brandy.

The dimensional chain was

  • 1 Cuartin = 6.5 Cuartes = 26 Cuartas
  • 1 Cuarta = 39.32 Parisian cubic inches = 0.78 liters, calculated from this value, the Cuartin is 20.28 liters
  • 1 Cuartin = 64 libras
