Cuques
Cuques [ kyk ] is a district of the French city of Aix-en-Provence located southeast of the city center around a hill above the valley of the River Arc .
Cuques as a field name possibly goes back to the Latin cuccula , which in a figurative sense denotes a certain hill shape and z. B. also occurs in Corsican or Sardinian (there also cuccuru ) as a name for hills. From the top of the hill there is a beautiful view to the east of the Montagne Sainte-Victoire . On the southern slope against the Arc Valley there is a small public park (Parc de la Colline de Cuques).
