Cyclone in Six Flags New England ( Agawam , Massachusetts , USA ) was a wooden roller coaster manufactured by William Cobb , which opened on June 24, 1983 as Riverside Cyclone in what was then the Riverside Amusement Park . It was closed on July 20, 2014 to make way for Wicked Cyclone .
For the 2001 season, the first descent was shortened by approx. 5 m. The old rails could still be seen underneath the new rails.
Trains
Cyclone owned two trains from the manufacturer Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters (PTC) with six cars each. Four people (two rows of two people) could sit in each car. The passengers had to be at least 1.37 m tall to be allowed to ride.
At the time of its opening, the railway had two PTC trains with single-step locking lap bars. In 1984, both trains were damaged, so the park acquired a new train to replace the two old trains. In 1985 the park bought two new trains from the manufacturer Morgan . In 2000 the track was finally equipped with the trains from PTC.
