The stock exchange of Cyprus ( Greek Χρηματιστήριο Αξιών Κύπρου or ΧΑΚ , Turkish Kıbrıs Menkul Kıymetler Borsası or KMKB , English Cyprus Stock Exchange or CSE ) is the stock exchange of the Republic of Cyprus . It has its seat in Nicosia and was created by the "Cyprus Insurance and Stock Exchange Act", which was passed by the Chamber of Deputies in April 1993 for the development of the securities markets in Cyprus and for the establishment and operation of the Cyprus Stock Exchange.
The Cyprus Stock Exchange started operations on March 29, 1996. In 2006, it launched a joint platform with the Athens Stock Exchange .
The stock market is rated by the “Dow Jones Cyprus Titans 10 Index” and “Cyprus General Market Index”. The trading hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on working days. Trading hours will be announced in advance for Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.
