The Milchborntal extends on the southern edge of the Hardt from Gladbacher Straße in the Lückerath district to Neuenhaus in the Moitzfeld district of Bergisch Gladbach .

description

The Milchborntal lies between the thrust through the Variscan Mountains from the south and the Paffrath Kalkmulde in the north . The Milchbornbach flows through it along its entire length . In the western part are the Imperial Cemetery and the French Cemetery . The Idria pit follows on the northern slope , before the Milchborntal open-air swimming pool can be seen at the bottom of the valley. This is followed by the Milchborntal forest stadium. Further east you come to the Kadettenweiher first . A short distance further on there is an extensive extinguishing water pond at the foot of the Erdenburg . Here you can also get to the Jungfrau mine . From now on the terrain rises more and more. Finally you have to choose either the path north to Grube Blücher or straight ahead to the village of Neuenhaus.

Mining

In the 18th and 19th centuries mining was carried out in several places in the Milchborntal.
