D&AD
D&AD is the English equivalent of the German Art Directors Club . D&AD stands for Design and Art Direction . Every year this association honors outstanding work from the world of design and advertising. Your logo includes the phrase "benchmarking and rewarding great ideas that are well executed and appropiate".
At the annual D&AD awards ceremony, Yellow Pencils and Black Pencils are awarded every year, with the yellow pencil being equivalent to a silver medal, while the black pencil representing a gold medal. In 2008 D&AD presented 70 awards. Only two of them went to German participants, one to the advertising agency Springer & Jacoby , Hamburg.
