Career

Käripow studied at the Ablai Khan University of Kazakhstan for International Relations and World Languages ​​(1994) and then became a consultant at the Ministry of Transport and Communication of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From 1998 to 2001 he was the third secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Federal Republic of Germany. Until 2003 he was the second secretary in the Consular Services Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In the following years up to 2007 he worked as a third secretary, vice consul and consul of the Consulate General in Frankfurt am Main. He was then Head of Department for Consular Services in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan for one year and then for four years until 2012 Counselor of Kazakhstan in Switzerland. For one year each, Käripow acted as counselor in the Foreign Ministry and in the Federal Republic. From 2014 to 2016 he was appointed envoy of the Embassy Council of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Germany and from 2016 to 2019 Käripow was the Consul General of Kazakhstan in Frankfurt am Main. Since June 6, 2019 he has been the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Federal Republic of Germany in Berlin.

In addition to his native Kazakh, Käripow also speaks Russian, German and English. He is married to Karlygash Karipova and has three children.
