The Kazakh Embassy in Berlin (officially the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Federal Republic of Germany , Kazakh Қазақстан Республикасының Германия Федеративтік Республикасындағы Елшomatic Kazakhstan ) is the head office of the diplomatic representation of Kazakhstan . Ambassador since June 6, 2019, Dänen Käripow .

The embassy building is located at Nordendstrasse 14-17 in the Berlin district of Niederschönhausen in the Pankow district .

The embassy in Berlin also reports to honorary consulates in Bremen , Dresden , Hanover , Hamburg and Stuttgart . There is a branch office of the embassy in Bonn , a consulate in Munich and a consulate general in Frankfurt am Main that is independently organized by the consular department of the embassy.

history

Kazakhstan's independence from the Soviet Union was officially recognized by Germany on December 31, 1991, and diplomatic relations between the countries have existed since February 11, 1992. Today Kazakhstan is by far Germany's most important trading partner in Central Asia .

From 1994 to 1996 the embassy was located in Marienfels Castle in Remagen and from 1996 until the move to Berlin in 1999 in Oberer Lindweg 2/4 in the Dottendorf district of the former federal capital Bonn.
