Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Berlin
The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Berlin is the headquarters of the diplomatic mission of the United Arab Emirates in Germany. It is located at Hiroshimastraße 18-20 in the Berlin district of Tiergarten in the Mitte district .
history
The embassy building is located in the western part of the Tiergartenviertel , known as the embassy district , between the representation of the state of Bremen to the federal government and the representation of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia to the federal government . The building was built in 20 months and the cost was around 18 million euros. The architects were Tom Krause and Astrid Bohne from Eschweiler near Aachen , who were inspired by Arabic architecture.
The floor plan of the four-story building is rectangular. The facade is clad with sandstone , windows and door arches are built in a modern Arabic style. In the building itself there is a central hall that is used for receptions and official events.
The residence of the Ambassador of the Emirates is located in the residential district of Grunewald and is similar to the embassy building in a neo-Arab style. Hafsa Abdulla Mohamed Sharif Alulama has been the ambassador since March 1, 2020.
Ali Mohamed Ali Al-Zarouni and Ali Abdulla Mohamed Saeed Al Ahmed have also held the office of ambassador in the past .
