Jack O'Halloran (born April 8, 1943 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania ) is an American actor and former boxer .

Boxing

O'Halloran was a heavyweight boxer in the 1960s and 1970s . He went undefeated in his first 16 fights and was considered a promising talent for a while. He beat boxers like Cleveland Williams , Terry Daniels, Manuel Ramos and Danny McAlinden. In 1972 he won the California state heavyweight championship by defeating Henry Clark . After he had a spectacular victory over Al "Blue" Lewis in 1973, O'Halloran was close to fighting Muhammad Alibut was knocked out by Jimmy Summerville in a fight in Miami Beach. Although O'Halloran won the rematch, he was no longer able to catch up with the top in boxing. He lost fights against eventual heavyweight world champions George Foreman and Ken Norton . In 1974 he retired from boxing after a total of 34 wins (17 by knockout), 21 defeats and two draws.

Acting career

O'Halloran then began a successful acting career. His first role was in 1975 as Moose Malloy in the film Go to Hell, Darling , alongside Robert Mitchum as private detective Philip Marlowe . In 1976 he played in the King Kong remake. O'Halloran's most famous role was that of the silent Non , the member of the trio of Kryptonian super villains that in Superman of Jor-El in the Phantom Zone was exiled and in Superman II was released by Superman himself accidentally again. In addition to roles in movies, O'Halloran took part in several television productions.
