The Azerbaijani Embassy in Berlin is the diplomatic representation of Azerbaijan in Germany. It is located on Hubertusallee in the Berlin district of Grunewald in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district . The current ambassador is Ramin Hasanov (as of 2018).
Diplomatic relations
Between the establishment of the Soviet Union in 1918 and the full integration of the countries of Armenia , Azerbaijan and Georgia , they had come together to form the Confederation of Transcaucasian Socialist Soviet Republics . Until 1922, German embassies existed in the cities of Tbilisi and Baku under the collective name of Transcaucasia .
After the collapse of the Soviet Union and the establishment of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Germany and Azerbaijan agreed in 1992 to establish mutual diplomatic relations. Azerbaijan initially had its first embassy building at Schlossallee 12 in Bonn . When the German government moved to Berlin in 2001 , the embassy, together with the embassy of the republics of Zambia and Zimbabwe and the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, temporarily moved to the publishing house of the textbook publisher Volk und Wissen .
