D-Sat

D-Sat is a product range from Buhl Data Service GmbH in Neunkirchen (Siegerland) . It provides satellite images and aerial images for Germany. A flight simulator is one of the special features .

The first D-SAT version was still distributed by TopWare and appeared in 1996.

With version 6 the resolution is at least 5 meters per pixel, for about 30% of the area of ​​Germany already 2 meters per pixel. For 232 German cities and sea islands, the resolution is 45 cm per pixel. There is also a collection of oblique images for Berlin and Hamburg. For architects, landscape planners, etc. there is the D-Sat 6 Business version with 3 DVDs. At D-Sat 6 there are criticisms that some of the city images have not been updated since versions 2 and 4.
