DJ Igo was a music project by Swiss producers Peter Bächinger and Stefan Wiesli from Quivelda Media.
background
On the occasion of the soccer world championship in 1994 they created a dance floor track on which they interwoven Adolf Ogi's famous saying joy rules with comments from soccer games of the Swiss national soccer team and underlaid with techno beats. The single came out as joy rules (no ifs or buts) on EMI . After the Swiss national team reached the second round of the tournament, the title rose to number 1 in the Swiss charts in July 1994 . The vocals for the English version Pleasure In The Air, which was included on the CD maxi, and for the second single Far Away came from Jasmin Schmid. The Swiss psalm was also featured on the CD Maxi in a trendy rhythm mix .
With the title Far Away , the duo made it to 18th place again in the same year.
