Gottlieb (formerly D. Gottlieb & Co. ) was an American company that manufactured arcade slot machines and pinball machines. The company was founded by David Gottlieb in the 1930s and initially produced pinball machines and bowling games. The pinball machines were initially purely mechanical devices, which were converted to electromechanical devices from 1935. It was not until the 1970s that mainly electronic pinball machines were produced.

From the late 1970s, Gottlieb also produced arcade games such as Q * bert .

Gottlieb was bought by Columbia Pictures in 1977 . In 1983 the company was transformed into Mylstar Electronics . In 1984 the company name was changed back to Premier Technology and went bankrupt in 1996.

Today the name Gottlieb belongs to the Gottlieb Development LLC Group.
