The DB Job Service GmbH (former names: DB work , DB mediation ) was founded in 1997 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn AG . Together with the DB companies, DB JobService ensures that the Group's employment policy is implemented.

DB JobService is responsible for the internal recruiting of Deutsche Bahn AG in Germany and a service provider for group companies whose employees are threatened with loss of employment. With the aim of opening up new professional perspectives for as many employees as possible, DB JobService supports the DB companies with personnel changes. The offer also includes advice in advance of developments in order to be able to react as early as possible to foreseeable changes. In this way, DB JobService, together with the business units, contributes to a socially responsible personnel policy.

The managing directors of DB JobService GmbH are Karin Albers and Stefan Kotkamp.

Structure and number of employees

DB JobService GmbH is divided into three regions:

  • The East region (headquarters: Berlin, agency offices in Berlin, Leipzig, Dresden and Erfurt) is responsible for Berlin, Brandenburg, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia and Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
  • The Northwest Region (headquarters: Hanover, agencies in Hanover, Hamburg, Duisburg and Cologne) is responsible for Hamburg, Bremen, Schleswig-Holstein, Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia.
  • The South Region (head office: Frankfurt am Main, agency offices in Frankfurt am Main, Saarbrücken, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart) is responsible for Hesse, Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate, Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria.
