The DIN standard DIN 19306 deals with delivery conditions for printing papers . It defines the following (tolerances of) properties:
- Format specification with machine direction
- Paper size
- area based size
- Color deviations within a delivery according to DIN 6174
- relative equilibrium humidity
- roughness
- opacity
- Moisture expansion
- Resistance to blisters
- Folding strength
- Air permeability according to Bendtsen
- Printability ( pick resistance )
- width-related breaking strength
DIN 19306 is divided into four parts:
- Part 1: General technical delivery conditions (current edition 4.2002)
- Part 2: Technical delivery conditions for offset paper, coated and uncoated, white (current edition 6.2002)
- Part 3: Technical delivery conditions for gravure paper, coated and uncoated, white (current edition 4.2002)
- Part 4: Technical delivery conditions for newsprint (current edition 10.2005)
