The standard EN 1436 governs the color loci for road markings . The coordinates of the colors (white and yellow) to be used for road markings are specified and thus binding. In Germany the standard is published as DIN standard DIN EN 1436 .

Since there can be fluctuations within the pigmentation , the standard color value proportions of the white and yellow color are defined by the following coordinates or corner points as "permissible areas":
