Disco II

In the context of DISCO II, certificate supplements and other national descriptions of occupational profiles are primarily considered. The aim is to provide comparable descriptions of competencies for practical use in the areas of health, IT , the environment and social issues . At the European level, DISCO is used as a source within the framework of the current ESCO ( European Skills / Competences, qualifications and Occupations ). The ESCO project aims to provide the EU member states with a common “language” or a compatible taxonomy for different purposes and problems.

DISCO is also used in projects such as YOMTOOL (Youth on the Move Toolkit - to support especially the professional mobility of young people) or Skillsbank , an ECVET- oriented toolkit that is intended to support career advice and individual further education.

Disco can also be used nationally e.g. B. for online glossaries .
