Orie Solomon ware

Orie Solomon Ware (born May 11, 1882 in Peach Grove , Pendleton County , Kentucky , †  December 16, 1974 in Fort Mitchell , Kentucky) was an American politician . Between 1927 and 1929 he represented the state of Kentucky in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Orie Ware first attended public schools in Covington , where he had moved with his parents in 1888. He then studied at a private school in Independence until 1899 . He then worked in Covington for the local District Judge Shaw. After studying law at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio and his admission to the bar in 1903, he began practicing this profession in Covington. He later ran a joint practice with the now retired Judge Shaw. Ware also got into the banking business and became a director of the First National Bank and Trust Co.

Ware was a member of the Democratic Party . Between 1910 and 1939 he was a delegate to all regional party conventions in Kentucky. Between 1914 and 1921 he served as a postman in Covington. He was then from 1922 to 1927 District Attorney in the 16th District of Kentucky. In the 1926 congressional elections , he was elected to the United States House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the sixth constituency of Kentucky , where he succeeded Arthur B. Rouse on March 4, 1927 . Since he refused to run again in 1928, he could only complete one legislative period in Congress until March 3, 1929 .

After the end of his time in the US House of Representatives, Ware worked again as a lawyer and bank director. In 1957 and 1958 he was also a district judge. Orie Ware died on December 16, 1974 in Fort Mitchell at the age of 92.
