David White (politician)

David White ( 1785October 19, 1834 in Franklin County , Kentucky ) was an American politician . Between 1823 and 1825 he represented the state of Kentucky in the US House of Representatives .

Career

There is little useful information about David White in the sources. Neither his exact date of birth nor his place of birth are known. After elementary school, he studied law, after which he began working as a lawyer in New Castle . Politically, he was a member of the Democratic Republican Party . In the 1820s, White joined the movement around President John Quincy Adams .

In the 1822 congressional election , White was elected to the United States House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the sixth constituency of Kentucky , where he succeeded Francis Johnson on March 4, 1823 . Until March 3, 1825, he was able to complete a legislative period in Congress . Not much is known about White's life after serving in the US House of Representatives. He died in Franklin County on October 19, 1834.
