Wingfield Bullock

Wingfield Bullock (* in Spotsylvania County , Virginia ; †  October 13, 1821 in Shelbyville , Kentucky ) was an American politician . In 1821 he represented the state of Kentucky in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Wingfield Bullock's date of birth is unknown. His youth is also largely in the dark. He then studied law. However, it is not known whether he worked in any form as a lawyer. Bullock became a member of the Democratic Republican Party founded by Thomas Jefferson . Between 1812 and 1814 he represented Shelby County in the Kentucky Senate .

In the congressional elections of 1820 he was elected to the United States House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the eighth constituency of Kentucky , where he succeeded Richard Clough Anderson on March 4, 1821 . Bullock was only able to exercise his mandate in Congress for a few months until his death on October 13, 1821. His seat in the US House of Representatives fell to James D. Breckinridge after a special election .
