Daniel Linn Gooch

Daniel Linn Gooch (born October 28, 1853 in Rumsey , McLean County , Kentucky , †  April 12, 1913 in Covington , Kentucky) was an American politician . Between 1901 and 1905 he represented the state of Kentucky in the US House of Representatives .

Career

Daniel Gooch enjoyed a private school education. Then he worked as a pharmacist or as a druggist. Soon he became president of a large pharmaceutical company. Politically, he was a member of the Democratic Party . In the 1900 congressional elections he was elected to the United States House of Representatives in Washington, DC in the sixth constituency of Kentucky , where he succeeded Albert S. Berry on March 4, 1901 . After re-election in 1902, he was able to complete two terms in Congress until March 3, 1905 .

In 1904 Daniel Gooch was no longer nominated by his party for another term. Then he retired. He died on April 12, 1913 in Covington and was in Dayton ( Ohio buried).
