The Deutscher Mieterbund Rechtsschutz-Versicherung AG, based in Cologne , was initially founded in 1982 as a specialist in rental legal protection insurance in the legal form of a stock corporation (AG) by the Deutsche Mieterbund .
Almost 850,000 customers are insured with DMB Rechtsschutz today, making it the leading legal protection insurance company in the field of rental legal protection. Furthermore, all other products of private and commercial legal protection are also offered.
DMB Rechtsschutz has 60 employees at its headquarters in Cologne (as of 2015). The gross contributions earned in the 2015 financial year amounted to € 27.6 million.
