attitude 1996

DOS-Trend was a specialist magazine for software and was published from 1989 to 1996 by Trend Redaktions- und Verlagsgesellschaft mbH . DOS-Trend mainly dealt with the topics of public domain and shareware .

Each issue of the magazine was accompanied by a floppy disk with selected shareware programs; the last editions were also available on CD-ROM . Since Trend-Verlag had a cooperation with PEARL , an advertising catalog for the mail order business was often enclosed in the middle section of the magazine. Among other things, other shareware programs could be ordered there.

Various DOS-Trend -Extra editions were also published, for example an extra edition with the virus scanner Thunderbyte Anti-Virus or the shareware version of the game Doom (edition 4/1993).

DOS-Trend has been replaced by its successor called CD plus Extra (with CD-ROM), which has now also been discontinued .
