DPG student award

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The German Physical Society's (DPG) student award is a prize of 500 euros from the German Physical Society (DPG), which is awarded annually to up to ten students in Germany. Traditionally, the award winners are the members of the German team in the International Physics Olympiad and the members of the German team in the International Young Physicists' Tournament (IYPT), the latter only if the team reaches the final.

This award was given from 1982 to 1991 by the Physical Society of the GDR and was adopted by the DPG. In addition to the prize money, the winners receive a certificate, an annual subscription to the members' magazine and an invitation to the DPG annual conference.
