dPMR446
dPMR446 is a license-free public radio in the frequency range 446.1 - 446.2 MHz, mainly in Europe. It is a fully digital version of the PMR446 for the transmission of voice, but also text messages (SMS) or GPS position updates.
dPMR mode 1
Mode 1 is a pure peer-to-peer mode, without base stations (infrastructure).

dPMR mode 3
In dPMR mode 3, several channels are bundled; communication can take place over several locations (base stations). The connection establishment can also be passed on via cable.
Implementations
There are several devices that use dPMR, such as: B.
- Icom IDAS System u. a. with the IC F29DR
- Kenwood NEXEDGE System u. a. with the TK-3401
