Digital private mobile radio, or digital PMR , is a radio mode for digital communication. dPMR is an open, non-proprietary standard developed by the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and published as ETSI TS 102 658.

dPMR446

dPMR446 is a license-free public radio in the frequency range 446.1 - 446.2 MHz, mainly in Europe. It is a fully digital version of the PMR446 for the transmission of voice, but also text messages (SMS) or GPS position updates.

dPMR mode 1

Mode 1 is a pure peer-to-peer mode, without base stations (infrastructure).

dPMR mode 2

In dPMR mode 2, work is carried out with or without base stations (infrastructure). The infrastructure can also connect to other networks, this is also possible via IP protocol.

dPMR mode 3

In dPMR mode 3, several channels are bundled; communication can take place over several locations (base stations). The connection establishment can also be passed on via cable.
