The 2nd football league of the Football Association of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is the second highest division in North Korean professional football .
It was first founded in 1972 and has been held again since 2010.
League system
In the 2nd football league of the Football Association of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, a two-tier league system is played with 15 teams twice. The two first placed go straight up, the last and the penultimate from each group go down. The two groups are divided according to region into northeast and southwest.
