The Deutsche Reichsbahn has classified different types of local steam locomotives in the 98.73 series:

• 98 7301 - 98 7307: LAG No. 17 ... 49
• 98 7308 - 98 7309: LAG No. 59 and 60
• 98 7311 - 98 7312: Saxon II
