Dream , formerly DRM, is a Japanese girl group . She was selected in a singing competition held in May 1999.

history

From the 120,000 Japanese participants in a singing competition of the Japanese record label Avex Trax took part, were in May Matsumuro , Yu Hasebe and Kana Tachibana selected to form the new group "Dream". The girls made their debut on January 1, 2000 with the single "Movin 'On".

Dream consisted of these three members until July 7, 2002, when Mai Matsumuro left the group to begin a solo career . Six new younger members joined the group: Risa Ai, Erie Abe, Aya Takamoto, Ami Nakashima, Shizuka Nishida, and Sayaka Yamamoto. Dream remained a dance and singing group with eight members until Ai Risa's departure on March 28, 2004.

On June 25, 2007, the group decided to change its image and name. They changed their name from Dream to DRM.

On July 22, 2008, the group announced that Yu Hasebe had left DRM and that the group had changed its name back to "Dream".
