Broadband Forum

The Broadband Forum (until 2008 DSL Forum ) is a global consortium of around 200 companies from a wide variety of areas in the telecommunications and IT industry. It was founded in 1994 and serves as a platform to give companies active in the broadband market an opportunity to develop common standards. This collaboration resulted in various standardizations for ADSL , SHDSL , VDSL , ADSL2 + and VDSL2 .

The secretariat is based in Fremont , California .
