Daidarasaurus ( Japanese ダ イ ダ ラ ザ ウ ル ス , Daidarasaurusu ) at Expoland in Suita , Japan, was a steel roller coaster made by Sansei Yusoki, which opened in 1970. On December 9th, 2007 the park was closed and with it the railway. The name is a suitcase word from Daidarabotchi (a giant) and dinosaur .

Originally daidarasaurus was a two-lane racing roller coaster, but both tracks were combined in 1999 to one long roller coaster with two lift hills to have. The total length was 2,340 meters, for which the trains took 6:33 minutes. After the renovation, the railway held the record as the longest roller coaster in the world for around a year. It reached a height of 28.5 meters and the maximum speed was 73 km / h.

Trains

Daidarasaurus trains had five cars each. Four people (two rows of two people) could sit in each car.
