Dainembutsu-ji

The Dainembutsu-ji ( Japanese 大 念 仏 寺 ) is a Buddhist temple in Hirano-ku in the Japanese city ​​of Osaka and the main temple of the Yūzū Nembutsu-shū with about 350 branch temples .

The temple originally belonged to the Shingon-shū under the name Shuraku-ji ( 修 楽 寺 ) and was visited by Ryōnin ( 良 忍 ; 1072–1132), the founder of the Yūzū Nembutsu-shū, after his stay in Shitennō-ji (1127) . Under Ryōnin's successor Gongen ( 権 現 ) the temple was converted to the Yūzū Nembutsu-shū.

The main temple of the Yūzū Nembutsu-shū he was under Hōmyō ( 法 明 ; 1279-1349), who restored it.
