But he had different ideas about a video game. He said, "The thought I had at that time was that if I had to develop games like this, I would never work in the video game industry!"

Daisuke Ishiwatari started working at Arc System Works in 1997 . In 1998 Daisuke Ishiwatari's first video game called Guilty Gear was released for the PlayStation 1 . Guilty Gear sold over 10,000 times on the first day and got a huge number of followers. Since Guilty Gear was very successful, Ishiwatari decided to develop more parts of Guilty Gear. When the band broke up in 2003 and Ishiwatari began to perfect his soundtracks himself, he got a recording deal from Sony Music Distribution Japan, as he was mainly the band's composer. In 2004, after the Guilty Gear Isuka Soundtracks were released, he also signed a recording contract with the American record company Team Entertainment Inc. With the conclusion of this contract with it was now possible to sell the soundtracks in the USA. Ishiwatari did not get a record deal to release his soundtracks in Europe because the European publishers were very dissatisfied with his music. In 2003 and 2011, two live CDs hit the Japanese and American markets. The first CD was Guilty Gear XX Sound Alive, on which the band ASH can be heard. The second live DVD is called Guilty Gear x Blazblue Music Live 2011.
