The Dalgonar Bridge is a road bridge between the villages of Dunscore and Milton in the Scottish Council Area Dumfries and Galloway . In 1986 the structure was included in the Scottish List of Monuments in the highest category A.
description
The masonry viaduct is located approximately 700 m west of Dunscore and 1.5 km east of Milton. It leads an unspecified side road over the Cairn Water . The bridge was built in 1818. It spans the Cairn Water in a slender, high segment arch . Its masonry consists of quarry stone with a brick arch. Simple quarry stone parapets with polished caps delimit the road. The parapet fans out on both sides. The road is designed with a slight hump.
