The vehicle

There is a clear difference to its predecessor, mainly in the design, since, as was the case for the first time in the 2009 Formula 1 season, so-called "humps" were placed on the nose. This improves the aerodynamics at this point and the nose no longer looks so bulky. In addition, the front wing changes. Parts such as B. the shock absorbers are selected by the team. The gearshift can be operated via rocker switches and without a clutch. The monocoque is made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic . There are also aerodynamic improvements to the side pods (new air baffles) and modified parts on the airbox and the rear wing.

engine

The Dallara F312 can be equipped with various motors. In the first year of operation, engines from Mercedes , Mugen-Honda , Nissan , Toyota and Volkswagen were used.

commitment

The Dallara F312 has been used in several Formula 3 championships since 2012.
