Daller (family)

Daller is the name of a reformed bourgeois family from Bischofszell , Switzerland , which has been registered since 1525 .

The lines emanating from Josua Daller (* around 1600) came to some significant fortunes through the linen , wine and fur trade. Witnessed by the 1744-45 from the mine's from Teufen built at Kirchgasse called Dallerhäuser .

The Daller family had offices in Lausanne and Nyon . They occupied many city offices, such as hospital masters or church clerks, and appointed several councilors and senior councilors.

Hans Georg Daller (1749–1834), possibly also Hans Georg Daller (* 1759), became Helvetian Grand Councilor in 1798 . Georg Friedrich Daller (1750–1819) was city administrator, 1803–1819 Thurgau Cantonal Councilor and 1804–17 Church Councilor.

The line of the Daller, which goes back to Josua's brother Zacharias, produced several artisans, such as the tin caster Jakob (1676–1735) and son Hans Jakob (1707–50), the gunsmith Zacharias (* 1646) and the potter Zacharias (1702–1757) and Jacob Christoph (1728–1774).
