Lady with the Unicorn (Italian: Ritratto di dama con liocorno ) is a painting by Raphael . The picture was created between 1505 and 1507 and was originally painted with oil paints on wood. It is located in the Galleria Borghese in Rome, until 1682 the picture was probably part of the collezione Aldobrandini.

It shows a young woman sitting with a little unicorn on her lap in front of a landscape; there are pillars on the right and left. The woman is richly robed.

Because of its resemblance to the Mona Lisa, Barchiesi and Minozzi suggest that this painting was inspired by Leonardo's painting. In 1959 it was found that a dog had been painted instead of the unicorn.

The work was attributed to Pietro Perugino for the longest time .

The picture was a wedding present from the painter to a couple of friends.

In the middle of the 17th century the picture was changed: the unicorn, the wheel, the cloak and a palm frond were painted over and no longer visible. In 1934 the unicorn was restored and the wheel removed, and the colors were transferred to canvas.
