Damir Sireta

Damir Sireta (* 1963 ) is a convicted Serb war criminal with Croatian citizenship. In 1991 he was involved in the massacre of 200 Croatian prisoners of war at Ovčara farm near Vukovar in Croatia. Sireta was sentenced to 12 years imprisonment in absentia in Croatia and wanted with an international arrest warrant . On November 20, 2006, according to the prosecution, he was arrested at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in Norway . Both Croatia and Serbia requested his extradition. In 2008 he was transferred to Serbia and sentenced to 20 years in prison in Belgrade in June 2009 for war crimes.
