Dan ( Yakuba ) is one of the Mande languages . Alternative names for the language are Yacouba / Yakuba, Gio, Gyo, Gio-Dan and Da.
Dan is mainly used in Ivory Coast (with 800,000 speakers) and in Liberia (approx. 150,000–200,000 speakers). There are only about 800 speakers in Guinea .
