Dan Beirne

Daniel Beirne (* in Ottawa ) is a Canadian film actor and screenwriter .

Life

Dan Beirne was born in Ottawa , Canada and has made a name for himself as an actor and screenwriter in film and television since 2008. He has been involved in a variety of series projects including The Bitter End and Dad Drives , and he also starred in five episodes of Fargo . Films Beirne has starred in include The Trotsky , On the Road , Great Great Great, and Suck It Up . As a screenwriter, he worked for the award-winning web series Space Riders , in which he also played.

Beirne gained particular prominence through his role of former Canadian Prime Minister William Mackenzie King in Matthew Rankin's satirical biopic The Twentieth Century . For this role, Beirne received a nomination for Best Actor at the 2020 Canadian Screen Awards .

Prior to his acting and screenwriting career, Beirne was the author and editor of the music blog "Said the Gramophone", which was selected as one of the 25 best blogs in the world by Time magazine in 2009 .
