Dan Carrison

Dan Carrison (born January 5, 1947 ) is a former officer in the US Marines and American business consultant and author .

Life

Dan Carrison was a member of the United States Marine Corps Reserve from 1965 to 1970 . He earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English literature from the University of California, Santa Barbara (1966–1970) and then worked in the private sector in sales. He is currently a senior executive at the hardware and software system manufacturer Diebold . He was also a columnist for the New York Times from 1994 to 1996 ; today for the Industrial Management magazine of the Institute of Industrial Engineers.

Carrison and Rod Walsh co-founded the management consultancy Semper Fi Consulting in Sherman Oaks , California, which specializes in advising former US Marines. He appears as a speaker to companies and government organizations. He is also the author of four books on management and security topics that have been translated into seven languages. His publications were u. a. Recommended by CBS Evening News journalist Dan Rather and Arthur Ochs Sulzberger businessman , former editor of the New York Times .
