Dan Golden
Dan Golden is an American composer , sound designer and sound engineer who is also active as an illustrator and painter.
Life
Golden initially wanted to be a musician, but eventually studied painting and illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design until 1994 . Here he met animator Daniel Sousa and they became friends. For his first animated film Minotaur , Sousa brought Golden on as a sound designer. Both worked together on other Sousa films. For Feral , which appeared in 2013 after five years of production, Sousa and Golden received an Oscar nomination for Best Short Film .
Golden has his own recording studio in Natick . As a hobby he played the electric bass in various bands.
