Dangerous Materials Registry Information System

Dangerous Materials Registry Information System ( acronym DaMaRIS ) is an internet or intranet-based database software for hazardous substances , on the basis of which a central hazardous substance register is set up at many German universities, hospitals and the chemical industry . DaMaRIS currently contains around 67,700 data records in the Sorbe database. DaMaRIS also enables the creation of material-related operating instructions, label printing and the entry of self-defined substances is possible. Uploading safety data sheets is also optional.

The obligation to create a list of all hazardous substances used in the company results from Section 7 (8) sentence 1 of the Hazardous Substances Ordinance (GefStoffV).
