Daniel (Waldsassen)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Daniel was abbot of the Waldsassen monastery from 1165 to 1194.

The period of Daniel's activity as Abbot of Waldsassen is often set in literature as early as 1161. Fragments of individual writings from Daniel have been preserved. The copy of Papia's works , referred to in the Waldsassen Chronicle in 1507 as Vocabularium Papiae , was still preserved at that time.
