The Church of St. Anne in Karmėlava (lit. Karmėlavos Šv. Onos bažnyčia ) is a Roman Catholic church in Karmėlava ( Archdiocese of Kaunas ), on the A6 in Lithuania . The fencing gate is an architectural monument.

history

In 1521 the first church was built in Karmėlava. Jurgis Andriuškevičius gave her the Andruškoniai manor on the other side of the Neris in 1531 . In 1663 the community school was mentioned. In 1655 the church was destroyed by Russian troops. A new church was not built until 1768, which was closed in 1909. In 1945 the wooden church was built.
