Daniel Berset (born September 30, 1953 in Biel ) is a Swiss sculptor , graphic artist and painter .

Education and career

After the Matura type C in Geneva, Berset attended the École des arts décoratifs , a commercial art school in Geneva, from 1975 and continued his studies from 1978 to 1983 at the Middlesex Polytechnic School in London. After graduating there, he also earned a diploma at the École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts on his return from 1984 to 1985 .

In 1985 he received a grant from the Swiss Confederation, which he used for a stay in Paris. The first solo and group exhibitions were in 1986 and 1991 in the private gallery Eric Franck, and in 1986 in the Palais de l'Athénée . In 1990, La Placette, the Geneva City Art Prize, which was linked to an exhibition in the city's Sud Halle, joined. Other important exhibitions before the turn of the millennium were in the Center PasquArt Bienne in 1994 and in the Musée d'art et d'histoire in Geneva in 1997.
