Daniel Datz

Daniel Datz (born August 18, 1977 ) is a former German football player .

career

Datz was in the service of the Braunschweig Lions between 1997 and 2005 and won four German championship titles with the team (1997, 1998, 1999, 2005). He was runner-up with Braunschweig in 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. At European level, Datz won the Eurobowl in 1999 and 2003 in 1999 and 2003. In 2002 he was with the team in the European Cup final, but lost. In 2003, the two-meter-tall player, who was on the defensive end position, was part of the NFL Europe team's Berlin Thunder squad in early summer , before he played again in Braunschweig in the following Bundesliga season. From 2013 Datz played for the Bremerhaven Seahawks (Oberliga), where he also took on coaching duties and took care of the defense work.

National team

In 2001 he became European champion with the German national team. At the 2003 World Cup, he won third place with the selection.
