Daniel F. Seger

Daniel F. Seger (born April 24, 1977 in Grabs ) is a Liechtenstein lawyer and politician ( FBP ). He has been a member of the Liechtenstein Parliament since 2017 .

biography

Study and job

Seger studied law at the University of St. Gallen , where he graduated in 2003 with a law degree (lic. Iur. HSG). After completing internships at various law firms , the regional court, the public prosecutor's office and the legal service of the government from 2004 to 2007 , he passed his bar exam in 2008. From 2008 to 2010 he worked as legal advisor and compliance officer at Hilti AG in Schaan .

He then worked for Baloise Life (Liechtenstein) AG in Balzers from 2010 , first as Compliance Officer, then from 2011 as Head of the Legal and Compliance Department . In 2013 he quit and went into business for himself. In 2014 he founded his own law firm.

Seger was President of the Administrative Complaints Committee (VBK) from 2013 to 2017. Before that, he had already served as its vice-president from 2009 to 2013.

Social engagement and political activity

Seger was president of the “FLay - Gays and Lesbians Liechtenstein and Rhine Valley” association. In addition, he campaigned for the partnership law passed in 2011 for many years .

In the state elections in Liechtenstein in 2009 , he ran for the first time for the Progressive Citizens' Party for a seat in the state parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein, but was unable to obtain a seat . His next candidacy for the FBP in a state election came in 2017 . He achieved 3289 votes and was elected to the state parliament of the Principality of Liechtenstein.
