Daniel James Hatfield Finch-Hatton, 17th Earl of Winchilsea, 12th Earl of Nottingham (born October 7, 1967 ) is a British nobleman .

He is the son of Christopher Finch-Hatton, 16th Earl of Winchilsea, 11th Earl of Nottingham and his wife Shirley Hatfield.

When his father died on June 26, 1999, he inherited his title of nobility, including the hereditary seat in the House of Lords . In November 1999 he lost his seat in parliament when the House of Lords Act came into force . In the meantime, no speeches by him have been recorded in the Hansard .

In 1994 he married Shelley Amanda Gillard. With her he has a son and heir to the title, Tobias Joshua Stormont Finch-Hatton, Viscount Maidstone (born June 21, 1998).
