thanksgiving

Thanks for Dr. Karl Egger from Meran , 1922

Acknowledgment is a mostly written form of expressing gratitude . Acknowledgments come in many forms and on a variety of occasions, such as in response to sympathy for a death. They can each be sent to a specific person or addressed to a larger group of people through a general advertisement in a newspaper .

Christian worship also knows a form of thanksgiving, see Recess # Liturgy .

Acknowledgments in Science

A special form is found in science, where publications (books, specialist articles) explicitly thank supporters and helpers for their mostly intellectual input.
